HSSA Scholarship

The High School Sports Association (HSSA) is pleased to again announce for the 17th consecutive year, the award of five (5) HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS ASSOCIATON SCHOLAR-ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIPS in the amount of $1,000 each to be awarded to eight student athletes.  

The HSSA has made this very prestigious award possible through their commitment to providing recognition for our Section athletes.  Each conference is invited to submit the name of one deserving male and one female athlete for consideration by the HSSA scholarship committee.  The exception, due to the size of the City and North County Conference, they will be permitted to submit two girls and two boys for a total of four submissions.  The protocol for solicitation of qualified candidates and the selection of conference nominees for consideration are a conference decision.

For clarification, this conference nomination is for scholarship consideration and is in addition to the one boy and one girl that each school is permitted to nominate directly to the HSSA for recognition at the annual Scholar-Athlete Breakfast.  

Remember, these are two different recognitions.

Conference’s nominations with all relevant information to the CIFSDS must be submitted no later than Monday April 7, 2025, by 4:00 p.m.    The recipients will be announced and presented their scholarship at the High School Sports Association annual Scholar Athlete Recognition Breakfast, scheduled for 

Monday, April 28, 2025.
